What the world has made of me..

I mentioned the "klassenshows" in my previous post. Here's part of the show of the class 6HW.

The best day of my life, without a doubt.

I'll start with the meaning.. Here in Belgium, almost every school has a special day when their seniors are allowed to celebrate the fact they have to go to school for only 100 more days. It's not at the exact same date (it would get out of control then) but it's all in January-February. It isn't even called the same everywhere: some simply call it "100 dagen" (100 days), some "Don Bosco", and we call it Chrysostomos (or xmos).
This year, we called it "xmosX" cause it's 2010, and 10 in roman is an X.

Five years we look forward to 'our day'. Each year you see the seniors having fun, doing crazy, and you dream about the day it'll be your turn. And then, finally, the sixth year, it's time.
So, January 22 it finally was our day ='). 

Our family: mom, dad, grandma (dad's side), Martijn, Evelien, Michiel, grandpa (dad's side), Jeroen, grandma (mom's side) & me  =)

A little something I made with my brothers and sister. We held up a sheet and then made lots of pictures with Photo Booth on my iMac. It was hilarious ! =D

Another year's almost over. To me, it was a good year. Not great though, just good..

So, what happened in my life in 2009 ?

* The first thing that comes to mind is the death of my dog, Elsy. She was the best dog ever and is still missed. But on the bright side, a few weeks later we got a new puppy, called Ine. She's great.
* Another loss this year was Robin, Christoff's brother. I didn't know him that well, but I loved talking to him. Especially when Christoff and I had another fight, it was great to talk to Robin to understand what was going on in Christoff's head. I still miss him..
* Okay, what else... Oh, I played tennis with Gunter (aka Mr Boelen) during summer break. It was awesome =).
* I read a couple of great books this year. All written by Harlan Coben. He's a great writer and I absolutely recommend his books.
* Started my last year of high school ^^
* I also discovered some great blogs, like Zen Habits. Changed my life..
* Got my first Mac, an iMac (20", still a white one, released in 2000) & fell in love with Apple. Also have an iPod Touch 32GB now =)
* Started a project, called "Teacher, thank you". Hopefully it will become a succes in 2010.

That's my 2009 for ya. Short I know, but I gotta go..

Have a great New Year's Eve !

Holidays have finally started ! So happy my exams are finally over ! Had a really hard time with them, but I passed al but one. I failed physics, but had achieved enough points on my test, so in total I passed.

So overall my grades were good. I had 66% and I'm happy with it, but my teacher says I can easily get 70. I dont really care though. As long as I pass, I'm happy.

Anyway, I started the holidays great. I went to a concert. Clouseau. Belgian band.. I wrote about them before (here and here). They're great ! I had an amazing time =)

I haven't posted a lot lately, main reason are my exams. But as I have English (and history) tomorrow, I decided it wouldn't hurt to write some English ^^.

Hmm, what can I talk about ?
Like I said, I'm in the middle of my exams right now. I've already had 3 of the 12 exams: maths (part 1), dutch and economics. Tomorrow it's history and english, then german and physics. Then there's still geography and biology left, french, maths (part 2) and chemistry. I have a hard week to look forward to..

On the bright side: once that's over, holidays start =D
Oh & btw, I love Apple =D. The iPod Touch is amazing! Once you can type on it.. :p It took me 10min just to write this. But it's great =). Because of it, I've become more active on Twitter (it's easier to update than this blog), so check it out for more updates => @AnneleentJ
